About Shepperson Wedding Films

For us, wedding filmmaking is about capturing the genuine emotions, spontaneous laughter and little moments that make every wedding unique. Our relaxed, discreet approach allows your day to unfold naturally while we preserve the memories that matter most.

Through thoughtful editing, beautiful imagery and carefully chosen music, we bring those moments together into a personal, cinematic wedding film. One of the most rewarding parts of our work is receiving the wonderful feedback from our couples when they watch their films for the first time — often with a few happy tears and plenty of laughter!

Couples often describe me as friendly, approachable and easy-going, which is something I’m particularly proud of. I understand that being filmed can feel daunting, so I always aim to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed.

Working discreetly alongside your photographer and other suppliers, I capture the special moments without interrupting the celebrations. Many couples tell me they barely noticed I was filming, yet they’re amazed by how much we’ve captured when they watch their finished wedding films.

My love of filmmaking began with a lifelong passion for cinema. From an early age, I was fascinated by the magic of films — whether it was the excitement of visiting the cinema or enjoying movie nights at home with my family. I loved how science fiction, fantasy, superheroes and emotional stories could transport us into different worlds, stir powerful emotions and stay with us long after the credits had rolled.

That fascination has never faded. I’m still an enormous film enthusiast (some might say a complete film nerd!), and it was this love of cinema and storytelling that inspired me to develop my filmmaking skills through school and college, eventually turning my passion into a career.

My passion for filmmaking led me to university, where I studied Media Production and graduated with a BA degree with First-Class Honours. During my studies, one of my short films was selected as a finalist in the Fiction category of the Royal Television Society Awards — an achievement I’m particularly proud of and an exciting early milestone in my filmmaking career.

After graduating, I began my career with an audiovisual and events production company, gaining hands-on experience across all aspects of professional video production. My work took me to events throughout the UK and overseas, developing the technical skills, creativity and confidence that I still draw upon today.

One particularly memorable experience was filming Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip — an incredible privilege, although I must admit it was a little nerve-racking at the time!

In 2012, after several years working in professional video production, I decided to take the leap and start my own business. With our first daughter on the way, I was even more motivated to build something of my own and create a future for my growing family.

I established Limelight Media Productions Ltd, and in 2013 Shepperson Wedding Films was born, bringing together my professional filmmaking experience and lifelong love of storytelling. Since then, we’ve had the privilege of capturing over 275 weddings and countless unforgettable moments.

In 2015, my wife Jenny joined the business, initially helping with editing and offering her creative input. Since then, we’ve become a great team, combining our skills, creativity and attention to detail to produce wedding films we’re genuinely proud of.

Away from the cameras and editing screens, we’re also proud parents to our two daughters, Holly and Poppy. In 2019, Jenny and I celebrated our own wedding at the beautiful Lanwades Hall in Suffolk — one of the most special days of our lives.

Having our wedding professionally filmed was one of the best decisions we made. Being able to watch it again, hear familiar voices and relive those emotions has given us an even deeper appreciation of how precious wedding films become over time. It’s an experience we want every couple we film to enjoy for themselves.
